This was bought for my son's birthday. He had been playing a "hand me down" from a family member. He was buying new mouthpieces. He wants to pursue the trumpet and was looking for a quality instrument. I was a bit skeptical because of the low cost. (We had been shopping locally.) But this was EXACTLY if not better than what was advertised!! Absolutely beautiful instrument and sound quality. Not just a "beginner or student trumpet". His fellow classmates are envious. I bought this trumpet for my daughter that is in seventh grade. This trumpet is outstanding. After we oiled the keys and got them broke in, it is amazing. I would recommend this trumpet to any student.

I've played guitar most of my life , but wanted to learn the trumpet to play jazz on. It has a beautiful finish and once oiled the valves work fine. I bought this trumpet to see if I would like playing the trumpet and took my first lesson on it. I was able to hit the notes my teacher wanted me to, so I assume that means it plays well. I did go ahead and purchase a professional model once I decided I did like playing the trumpet. Overall I think for the price it is a well made student trumpet and is more than sufficent to learn on. The case is fairly nice, but no room for a mute or other things like the case for my pro model.
